电话录音卡: In the hours of distress and miser, the eyes of every mortal man turn to friendship;in the hour of gladness and conviviality ,what is our want?It is friendship. When the heart overflows with gratitude,or with any other sweet and sarced sentiment, what is the world to which it would give utterance?a friend.

Check Out Time At Last!

  • Relationships: I'm sad to know that my first Grand-child has sickle cell disease. She will be the first in my family to have it.

Everyone will finally leave the hospital today. My son was at the hospital every day & night beside his new wife and daughter. We have also been given the news that Vanessa has sickle cell disease. Theresa's mother thought that the chance of having a sickle cell child was only 25% if both parents had a sickle cell trait, but what she wasn't told was the chances increase when one of the parents actually has the disease. Since Theresa has the disease and Dontrel has the trait the chances increased to 50%. They were planning on having another child, but after all the complications that developed with Theresa (loss of a lot of blood & kidney damage), and the fact that Vanessa was born with sickle cell disease may change their mind. We will have to wait and see!!

I have been spending the past few days researching Theresa's kidney problem that developed during the labor & delivery. The condition is called renal papillary necrosis. I've also been researching information about stem cell research and what has developed in the area of sickle cell disease.

If you are interested in learning more about the information I discovered on the internet, here's a list of web sites that I found interesting.
